Ultimate Coffee Date // July
7/03/2016
It's been another couple of months since I last joined in for an Ultimate Coffee Date, I like the idea of joining in every couple of months to update, as I know if I tried to do it every month, I wouldn't have much to discuss, this works out far better for me!
So, I've got a couple of bits to share from over the last couple of months, so why not grab a cuppa and we can have a catch up!
If we were having coffee today, I would tell you.. that it's only been half a day into a two week long 'dog sitting' commitment and I'm already worn out. We've got 3 dogs to look after and my own cat. Phillips mum and her partner are going away on holiday for 2 weeks, his mum has put her cats in the cattery but I still have 3 dogs to look after.
I've had to do 2 separate dog walks, I've got another 2 dog walks later this evening and I'm pooped! haha! Everything is made a little more difficult by the fact that we've got a puppy, a Springer Spaniel called Merlin.. and he's absolutely bonkers and hard to control at times. Hopefully I can train him over the next two weeks! ;)
If we were having coffee today, I would tell you.. that I've got two 10 KM races coming up over the next two weeks and although my training hasn't been the best, I'm totally looking forward to the races themselves and I'm going to be Go-Pro'ing them! I bought a Go Pro with my Birthday money and got a bunch of accessories for it and I've been obsessed with taking it out for runs lately!
I've been out for a couple of runs with it so far with a couple of different accessories to see what works best for running with. Headstrap has been by far the best but I may just carry it to get different perspectives.
If we were having coffee today, I would tell you.. that a couple of weeks back, Phillip, his mum and I traveled up north to Penrith/Lake District as Phillip and his mum were doing the Great North Swim at Windmere.
Ever since, they've both been encouraging me to try an open water swim and I'm actually considering it! They do a local Open Water swim at a lake near us and I think I'm gonna give it a go towards the end of the season. Even though I'm terrified! ;)
I just need to get fitted for a wetsuit!
If we were having coffee today, I would tell you.. that I am finally getting the hang of braiding and I've been doing Dutch Braids as my go to hairstyle for running! I LOVE the look of a dutch braid and they stay secure in my hair without having stray hairs getting all up in my face.. and my hair doesn't get into a total messy tangle when I get home to wash it which is awesome!
I do need a little more practice, these were after a run and they've dropped slightly, but I'd like them tighter and further back so the actual braids run down my back rather than over my shoulders.. I will get it! :)
If we were having coffee today, I would tell you.. that the weather has been really bugging me lately. The UK weather really just can't make up it's mind. It can be really sunny and warm one minute and absolutely throwing it down the next.. It makes it really hard to make any sort of outfit decisions!

I recently go a Go Pro as well and I am still working on getting used to it. My photos are very hit or miss. Thanks so much for linking up for coffee this weekend
