We travelled down the day before race day, just in case we got delayed in traffic and stayed over Phillips Mums. Roads were completely clear, no delays at all and went really smoothly.

The Morning Of..
I rolled off a blow up bed at 7AM, I've been Intermittent Fasting, so decided not to have breakfast but didn't want to completely go without, so took a small banana to have an hour before the race. The 4 of us(Me, Phillip, Phillips Mum and her friend Tony) left the house at 7:30 and arrived at Milton Park & Ride just after 8AM.

We didn't want to make the same mistake as last time and go too early, so this was the perfect time. It wasn't busy in the slightest and we walked straight onto the bus with no queues. We didn't arrive too early at the race village too early either, so we weren't standing in the cold too long.

First stop was to drop off the bags, which we were sort of dreading based off last year but it was an absolute breeze, no queues at all. Thank god they sorted that out - if you read my race recap from last year, it was a mess.
We grabbed some foil blankets on the way over to our second stop - these were much appreciated for the wait after we ditched out bags and there were plenty to go around. I took the time to have my banana too.

Second stop was the toilets.. which wasn't quite a breeze! The queues were long, but they went went quickly.. however, upon getting to the front of the queue.. I heard many people saying there was no toilet roll, which is NOT good for those with race nerves.. Im sure you know what I mean. A lovely lady let me have a tissue and luckily.. I didn't need to go(but subsequently was then freaking out that I would need to mid race).

After the toilet stop, it was just in time to start getting into the starting pens, there were 4 of them, so it wasn't massively busy and each pen started in a wave that led out onto the main road. Some people did ditch their throw away layers and foil blankets right in the middle of the pens instead of putting them out to the side.. so that was a bit inconsiderate and a bit of a hazard.

The Race..
The race started well, a little busy to begin with but it always is when you first start and then it thins out. The course is a one lap loop with some parts of the route being in reverse for the way back. The race starts on Victoria Avenue with Midsummer Common as the race hub.

The course heads through the center of Cambridge, past Kings College(which if you haven't seen before, it's stunning!) past Fitzwilliam Museum and out of the city along Trumpington Road, through Grantchester and then heading back into the city along Barton Road and The Backs before heading back through the city to the finish line, which was the start line.

Running through the city during this race is my favourite part and you get to experience it twice! The architecture in Cambridge is just stunning, there's parts of the route that look out over the river too which is really lovely. Part of the route does have traffic on the opposite side, so roads aren't completely closed and which means you can't wear headphones unless they're bone conduction.

I must say, the support on this race is by far one of, if not the best I've experienced. The people of Cambridge really do know how to show their support. The course in the city center was packed full of supporters with complete strangers shouting out your name. Even the more rural areas were still amazing with for support and there was music blasting out, kids holding up 'power' signs and giving high fives.
My race started well. If you've been following my training both on here and my social media, you'll know that I was running this race with Phillip for support to try and get me my goal time of 2 hrs 10 minutes. He reminded me as we started not to go out too fast. I didn't want to pay too much attention to my watch, so just ran with what was comfortable and keeping Phillip in my sights(or rather him keeping an eye on me).

The temperature was not what was expected and it was quite a bit warmer. By about 2 miles, I was rolling up my long sleeves and passing Phillip my gloves and ear warmer. I was boiling! Thankfully, there were 4 drink stations(and gels) on the route at 2.3 miles, 5.1, 8 and 10.8 and the cold water was SO refreshing. I was so hot that I was pouring the water over my head. Anyone would have thought we were in summer!

I was feeling good up until about 6 miles, where I felt like I was slowing, but turns out, it must've been in my head as my pace was still perfectly fine and spot on for the time I wanted to finish in. At around 9 miles, we clocked Tony, who seemed to be doing well(it was his first half). It was around this point that I felt like I had a blister coming on just below my big toe.

My legs were starting to fatigue but I kept pushing on. The support back in the city was absolutely incredible and made me feel so emotional! My legs were dying by mile 12 going into 13 and there's a horrible hill we crossed at the beginning that we had to get back over - whilst it doesn't seem like much, on 12 mile legs, its brutal! Mile 13 was my slowest mile coming in at 10:08, surprisingly, I'd managed sub 10 min/mi for the rest of the 12!
It was then just a case of getting to the finish. Phillip tried to grab my hand at around 500m from the finish to pick up the pace, the eager beaver. I told him I couldn't go that early. I picked up the pace ever so slightly at 100m to go, just because I wanted it to be over!
Crossing the finish line with a sigh of relief, my legs seized almost immediately after stopping and as usual I started to cry, even more so after seeing my time on my watch.

I'd done 2:10.. and gone a bit further getting myself a time of 2:08:17! Woop Woop! I'd bloody done it! :D That's a 7 minute PB and I was super stoked!
Overall Thoughts..
The race, was again, fantastic from start to finish. The race was very well organised, I really can't fault them with that one.

Only minor quarms to mention: No toilet roll which I mentioned earlier and the fact that there were no mats or anything at the end in the mudbath that was midsummer common. I'd be very surprised if a runner hadn't slipped over, it was awful, especially on tired legs.

What to commend OSB For? Listening to the feedback about the sh*tstorm of a baggage area from last year. They completely re-did it this year and nailed it. No queues whatsoever getting out bags, we literally just had to wave at a volunteer at the baggage tent as we were heading to get bags and they already had them! Thankfully, no standing in the cold for ages this time round! Good Job guys!

Medal as always is beautiful. I love it when a medal incorporates the city into it. The goodie bag was great too - containing a foil blanket, bottle of water, chocolate milk, quavers, nut/seed bar and protein balls - they also had optional Alcohol Free Beer and Razors(I'm not sure what they were thinking with this one..xD).
Value for Money: I figured I'd bring this up since it is important when it comes to races. Entry was £38, which is quite steep. Add to this £4 per person for Park & Ride and £2 each for Posting Race Packs out if you couldn't get to the city the day before to pick it up.

Ends up being £46 including everything.. which is quite expensive for a race entry. There was no merch included in the entry. You could buy a Cambridge Half T-Shirt(or they had other items available too).

This year did include free race photos. Any photos that were captured on race day, you could share to your FB page and then download - if you wanted higher res photos, they're £14 from SportsCam. I actually loved this. I never buy race photos as they're ridiculously priced, but it was a nice touch to get them for free.

However, whilst I totally get that there are fees for the organisers, the entry fee is very steep for what you get. I've ran shorter races that have fully closed roads, goodie bag, tshirt and a decent medal and free race pack postage for cheaper than this.

That being said, I would do it again because I like the race so much. I'd just be nice if it was a bit better value for money!

Question: Have you ever visited Cambridge Before? What races have you got coming up? How much are you willing to pay for a Half Marathon?

The triathlon was organised to raise vital funds for Tri For Life's partner charities Great Ormond Street Hospital and Melanoma Focus Cancer Research. Tri For Life are the charity organisation behind the triathlon and Human Race are in partnership with them to organise the race.

It is set in the stunning location of Woburn Abbey with views of The Abbey, Deer Park & lakes. It's a closed road bike course on the sunday so there are no worries about stopping for cars and the route takes you through pituresque roads surrounding Woburn.

Woburn Abbey Triathlon takes place over two days, with the Woburner and Olympic distance on the Saturday(Open Roads) and Super Sprint through to Olympic Distance on the Sunday. There was also a kids Scootathon and Junior Triathlon for the kids too, so it would be a fantastic day to get all the family involved!

If you want to know how I got on for my first sprint distance triathlon, keep on reading as I recap the whole day :)

The Morning Of..
We actually didn't have to be up majorly early in the morning like I have been for some races in the past. We were only 1hr 20mins away from Woburn Abbey. I woke at 7:30AM, I had some breakfast and we were out of the house mounting Phillips bike to the car by 9AM. I had agreed with Phillips Mum's partner that they would take my bike in their car as our bike rack only fits one bike.

Phillips race start was at 11:45AM as he was doing the Olympic distance. We arrived with about 1hr 15mins before his wave. We both went to the registration tent which was very straightforward. I collected my swim cap, bib and stickers for bike and helmet. Further up was a table to collect my chip - I then headed out to find Phillip before we headed on down to the transition area.
I went for a walk to scout out the area whilst Phillip was setting up his transition area - I didn't have my bike so didn't go into transition until I had everything. I was able to see some of the earlier waves set off for the swim and figure out where the transitions came in and out.

Before long, Phillip was in his wave and off for the swim and Jane and Fred had arrived with my bike in tow.

Jane and I headed into the transition area where I setup my kit. I wish I'd taken a picture of my setup but honestly.. I was so nervous in there that I totally forgot! After setting up, I took some very good advice to walk the transitions so I knew exactly where I was coming in and out and the route I would need to take.

After, I stood in the queue for the loo which took quite a while, I had to quickly rush back into transition and get on my wetsuit. We kinda lost track of time somehow and when I looked at my watch again, I realised I was missing the swim race briefing and got to the swim area as my wave was getting into the water.. oops! Thankfully, we were still in the water a couple of minutes before the actual start!
The Swim..
The swim section for Sprint distance was 1 loop of the lake for 800m total.

Having got in the water later than I wanted.. I ended up being at the back of the group which wasn't the best of ideas! Our wave started dead on time at 1:45PM and straight away I wished I'd either been somewhere in the middle or at the side of the pack.

Everyone was thrashing about and I was swimming a little faster than some but had no route through them, so I had to hold back at the start to avoid being kicked. We finally separated a little and I settled into a nice rhythm. I couldn't see anything in the water and for the most part, it was almost pitch black which was a little scary!

Photo Credit: Tri For Life | Tri For Life FB Page Unfortunately, the lake on the day wasn't quite as pretty as the weather didn't hold up!

The course wasn't too hard to navigate, a couple of turns here and there but before I knew it.. the swim was over, it had gone by so fast! There was a little step up to get out of the water with two people assisting those that needed help getting out.

I hadn't known this at the time.. until I saw my race photos, but the lake was definitely very dirty as I was fashioning a dirty lake beard for the whole race... doh!

Total Swim Time: 15:30

T1
It was a short run back to the transition area from the big lake along some grass and a tiny bit of stony path to cross(which hurt and could have done with a bit of carpet, ouch!). I put my goggles on my head whilst I unzipped my wetsuit on the run back and stripped it down to the waist. All the while, chanting the number 3 for my rack number in my head along the order in which I needed to put my kit on.. oh the nerves!

I arrived at my bike rack with no problems, everything was well marked, I didn't get lost which was a main fear of mine.. I put my helmet on first before anything else to make sure I didn't forget before touching my bike. I felt a little dizzy from the swim and struggled to find the balance to put my bike shoes on. Eventually managing to get them on, I put my race belt on and sunglasses, unracked my bike and headed out for the bike portion!

Total Transition Time: 2:42

The Bike..
The bike section for the Sprint distance was 2 loops of the course for a total of 20km.

I was SO nervous about the bike part of the triathlon as I'd heard about the hills on the route, it didn't help that there was a hill right out of transition to go up. Mounting my bike was fine, I had no issues with clipping in thankfully and managed to power up the hill with some ease(probably adrenaline fueled).

Photo Credit: Human Race | Human Race FB Page

It was fairly busy out on the bike course, I was very mindful of not drafting and staying to the recommended distance - I must say there were some people out on the course that literally didn't seem to have a clue and it was a little frustrating. There were people cycling on the right hand side who weren't overtaking.. meaning I either had to stay behind or go down the left hand side.

The bike course itself is pretty undulating as I had expected. There were two downhill sections on the route that were pretty darn steep. The first loop, I thought I'd take advantage of the downhill as I'm quite the adrenaline junkie and love the downhill.. but I didn't anticipate just HOW steep it was and freaked out when I started breaking and wasn't slowing fast enough, haha! Safe to say, I took it a little easier on the second loop.

There was a disgustingly steep hill that I knew about from Lucy's recap where she'd mentioned people were getting off their bikes and walking up the hill. I was determined not to get off my bike.. I hadn't anticipated the hill in advance(I dont remember seeing any signs, I just remember turning a corner and seeing the ugly thing!), so I didn't switch down to my granny gear in time and had to just power my legs up.

On the second loop, I was more aware of what was coming up and could use my gears more efficiently, I did end up getting stuck behind an ambulance on the course for a few minutes(I hope whoever they were attending to is OK!), after before long it was time to tackle the dreadful hill again.

I had a little mechanical issue that bummed me out and I couldn't actually change into my smaller gear at the front, so had to power up for a second time in the wrong gear. I did see some people getting out of the saddle but I'm really not comfortable with that, esp on a hill.. I need to practice more.

Finally, I was on the way back to transition with a sigh of relief.

Total Bike Time: 49:19

T2
Dismounting just before the line, I took my jelly legs back to my bike rack which was easy to navigate as my rack number was straight opposite in the bike in. I had alittle trouble with lifting my bike back onto the rack once I got there, it took a few attempts, my arms felt so weak!

Again, I seemed to faff around a lot with balancing to get my running shoes on.. it took me multiple attempts to place my feet inside the shoes. I swapped my sunnies for my running cap, took a few sips of water and then headed off for the run section..

Total Transition Time: 1:35

The Run..
The run section for the Sprint distance was 2 out and back loops of the course for a total of 5km.

The run route was actually short and wasn't the full 5k distance, my watch read 2.77 miles. My legs were feeling so heavy after the ride, the hills zapped them completely, plus I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast so I might have been a little under fueled by this point. Pace was a little slower than I had ran in my brick training sessions and it was SO windy at points,  I had to hold onto my cap for fear of it blowing off!

The run route headed past the smaller lake that was used last year for the swim and headed along an access road. The path actually got really narrow at one point with runners in both directions and no room to overtake if there was runner traffic in the other direction - so I had to hold back a bit here until there was enough space.

There was a water station near the start of the running loop, they were also giving out jelly babies but I didn't bother taking anything.
I noticed a lot of deer out in the fields whilst we were running which was incredible(Phillip and Jane didn't even see them!)

After the two out and back loops, the run course had a turning to the left for finishers and if the effort you had put in wasn't enough, there was a steep uphill grass finish! It was SO tough but I was determined to keep pushing, I started heaving towards the end and was just glad I didn't throw up for my race photos! xD

Total Run Time: 26:36

I was handed my medal at the end, someone took my timing chip and then I headed out to Phillip and Fred feeling completely overwhelmed at what I'd achieved and bawled my eyes out.. so predictable for me ;)

I'm actually totally stoked with my time, I had predicted a time for myself of about 1:45 so I was 10 minutes quicker than I thought. There are several things I'd do differently and there are several things that could go differently on a race that could improve my times the next time round(yep.. I just said it)

Overall Thoughts..
I'm really happy about how the race went for my first triathlon, I probably couldn't have asked for a better race to start with.. apart from better weather, but that couldnt be helped! Thank you again to Human Race for my entry!

There are some things I would recommend as improvements for the event. I personally think it would be nice to have different coloured bibs/tags/stickers for the different race disciplines. As there are participants from different disciplines out on the course at the same time, I think it would be great to be able to identify the people that you're actually racing against.

Whilst it's not a major issue for me.. the distance for the run was a off and the race is advertised as 5k distance and other race disciplines were also short, I heard some people weren't too happy about it not being full distance.

Overall, Human Race and Tri For Life did an amazing job with the organisation of the event and everything ran really smoothly on the day. The marshalls were also fantastic with all their direction, so thank you to them too! I've got a brand spanking new medal for my rack and I can't wait to take part in more triathlons next year.

Question: Have you ever done a triathlon before? If not, would you ever consider doing one?
If yes, What has been your favourite Triathlon Event?

This past Sunday was race day! It was the Great Newham London Run 10k race. I've done this race 3 times in the past and love the stadium finish, so I was looking forward to returning a 4th time! The few days leading up to the race were a little gloomy and I was actually pretty happy about it, it was super hot last year, so I was hoping for a cooler day.. I didn't get that!

The Day Of..
We didn't have to wake up so early for this race which is great. Phillips start time was 10:30AM - so we only needed to be at the start by 9-9:30AM. We also didn't have to catch any tubes, we drove straight to Westfield Shopping Center which is about 10 min walk from the park and the start. Super convenient!
It was already pretty warm, and we arrived a little earlier than expected, so had a longer wait. First stop was the loos.. which had non existent queues which is epic! They split up the baggage area and toilet areas between the 4 waves which worked out really well imo especially compared to the queues last year!

After a fairly long wait in the sun, it was time for Phillip to get into his starting pen at 10AM with the warmup at 10:15 ish and the start at 10:25AM. I then had an hour to wait for my wave to assemble and I headed into the pens at 11AM, by which time, it was already pretty hot... and Phillip had finished!

The Race..
The warmup was done about 5 mins before the start, nothing too intense as we were already pretty warm, but the warmup is so important and I enjoyed taking part in it.
The race started at 11:20AM for the green wave, it took a little while to cross the start line as it's quite narrow at the start but we got going eventually!

The course is much the same as last year with a couple of changes at the end, the start heads away from the stadium, with a couple of double backs where you can see runners ahead and behind of you on the other sides of the road. The route then takes you past the London Aquatics Center before heading up towards the Copper Box Arena, around Leo Valley Velo Park before heading back towards the stadium.
There was a shower at the 4KM mark.. which sadly, I couldn't go through as my phone on my armband isn't waterproof or covered! There were two water stations out on the course too, which were really well organised at 5K mark and 7.5KM. There were also lots of bands, steel drums and big speakers out on the course with some music to provide us with some motivation along with the usual charity support which were amazing!

The last part of the course at the after the 8KM mark dragged for me. I was exhausted in the heat and was praying to be finished! The last part of the course runs around a track outside the stadium, then there is a loop through the tunnels before exiting inside the stadium for a lap and a sprint finish.
The part inside the stadium is the part of the race I look forward to most as it's usually a spectacular atmosphere. I unfortunately didn't get that same pump this time round, there wasn't the roar from the spectators that there has been in previous years but it is still the highlight of the race for me, there's something about running into and around the stadium!.. Phillip did say he had a different experience said and said the crowds were very upbeat when he came through.
Overall Thoughts..
If you've never done this race before or if you want a hint of nostalgia looking back on the Olympic venues used back in 2012 then I definitely think it should be one for the list.

It is quiiite the undulating course, so it's well worth getting in some hill training if you plan on doing it next year! You can sign up for their reminder service HERE if you're interested in when entries open for next year.

You get some decent race bling, a nice tech t-shirt and some yummy goodies in the goodie bag - and the race entry I think is pretty reasonable at £32 too compared to other races!

Overall, it's an event I really enjoy and Great Run do a spectacular job of organising the event - kudos to sorting out the baggage and loo situation since last year!

Bonus Vlog..

The Morning Of..
For the first time ever, there was no ridiculously early start for me which I bloody loved! I mean.. I still had to wake at 7:30AM but it wasn't 5AM, so I was happy! I was a little worried about fuelling for this race as it started at 12PM which is lunch time for me. I just ate breakfast a little later in the hopes that would be enough.

I live about 30 mins from Cambridge, so no hour+ journey! We went to Newmarket Park & Ride to get into the city centre which was an absolute breeze and a short walk from the bus stop to Parkers Piece which is the race village.

I must say,  I expected maybe some running brand vendors or something similar in the race village, instead, from what I saw, there were a few food stalls and the rest was registration tents and a small baggage tent(I'll talk about baggage later), if there were any other stalls or vendors, I didn't see them, so they weren't well displayed.

There was a big screen in the middle of the green for spectators and runners that had finished to watch the race and see what was going on in different countries.
After a long wait in the baggage queue that took up most of our pre-race time, we managed to grab a quick selfie with the catcher cars after dropping off the bag and then headed into the pens which were split into 4 based on bibs and were very crowded.

The Race
As I mentioned at the beginning, the race start is world wide, so it was bang on 12PM when we started. It was pretty stop start at the beginning, there were a couple of 90 degree turns right at the start of the race causing bottlenecks and shaving precious time off getting further ahead from the catcher car which isn't ideal!
My legs right from the off were sluggish and I knew I probably wouldn't get the 8-10 miles I wanted. Phillip and I had done way too much that weekend instead of resting like we would typically.

I expected more of the route to be through the city centre and around the University buildings, however, I was a little disappointed! Cambridge is a beautiful city and I feel like it missed out a lot. We headed past the Grand Arcade, past the markets and St Mary's Church with a quick glance at Kings College Chapel. up past St Johns College and then we were headed out of the city centre starting with a hefty hill!

The crowd support in the city was great but there wasn't too much on the main roads heading out of the city. The good thing about heading away from the city centre though, was that the route opened up a bit more and wasn't as congested and narrow.
Not far after the big hill, there was a sign for refreshments and the first bus stop, but it didn't seem to come for a long time, it was pretty warm out and I think a lot of people wanted a drink, the refreshments were way off the sign and everyone gunned for the tables, it looked very busy so I decided to skip it.

The refreshment tables had water, red bull and what looked like orange and banana pieces.. the red bull and water we're in cups, I've never seen a refreshments station with cups before, I'm used to bottles, it looked like everyone was spilling the contents everywhere, I don't think I could run and drink from a cup at the same time without covering myself with it.

From here on out, I had no idea where we were on the route, we headed through a couple of villages(Girton and Oakington) which had some great support and crowds which was great, between villages it was quite lonely though. I had absolutely no idea where the catcher car was at this point, people were talking about it but no-one really seemed to know where it was. There were a couple of motorbikes and quad bikes that passed us along the route, which made me think it was close.. and then nothing happened, so I just had to keep running!

The route eventually headed onto an airbase, which had no crowd support at all, except for a couple of spooked cows that we're cheering mooing away. I'm not sure, but I don't think people were allowed in there to spectate and we had to stick to the route.

Not sure what happened to my camera here, but this is the 11KM mark and the cows!

Just after 7 Miles, I head a lot of commotion behind me, I was then passed by some cyclists who confirmed the catcher car was on it's way. There was suddenly a surge of people speeding up to get as far as they could before getting caught.

At 7.3 Miles(11.73KM), the catcher car passed and I stopped to walk along with everyone else as we cheered for David Coulthard passing in the car.
I had a lovely chat on the walk to the bus stop with a lovely bloke called Adam who had managed to get to the same distance as me, having only ever done parkrun's prior to the race, which was amazing!

Bus stops were supposed to be located every 5KM or so near the refreshment stations and you could either go forwards or backwards on the course depending on how close you were to either direction.. but no-one really had a clue where they were so we all moved forwards.

I passed the refreshments tables, grabbed my first cup of water which was bliss.. and took a quick pit stop i the portaloo's for a much needed wee that I'd been needing since the start!

Afterwards, I just kept walking until I eventually found a bus, which quickly filled with lots of other sweaty runners and was transported back to the race village.

Picking up race packs was fairly quick and easy. Inside the goody bag was a couple of leaflets, a can of Redbull, the medal, a t-shirt and a plastic water bottle. T-shirts were gender specific, but geeeez the women's t-shirts were TINY. I went for a medium and it was SNUG(later swapped it for a mens small as they were the only t-shirts left).

Baggage was horrendous. The sun wasn't shining after we'd finished and had gone into hiding. The wind was making it fairly chilly and there was ONE baggage tent with ONE queue for 3000 odd runners to collect their bags(it was the same dropping them off). Who thought this would be a good idea? After freezing my arse off waiting in the queue, I handed in my baggage tag to collect my bag and was asked what my bag looked like.. err, what the f*ck? It was organised chaos! Black Rucksack please.. looks like the 1000s of others in the tent that haven't been organised! Ta!

The only thing left was to wait for Phillip to finish.. which he did an hour and a half later having covered 23.3 miles! So proud of him!

Overall Thoughts
So, I loved the concept of the race. I like that you can really be in charge of your own race. You can run as far as you want or you can challenge yourself to run as far as you can and the excitement of being chased down by the catcher car was quite fun.

It was all for a good cause, with the £25 entry fee all going to the charity. The entry fee wasn't bad considering!

I'll definitely do the race next year, I want to beat my distance from this year in next years race. I do hope they change some things for next year and take in mind some of the feedback that people have been saying. Here's some points I think could do with improvement:

Baggage really needs sorting, more tents for baggage drop off and collection so there isn't a humongous queue to drop off and collect bags. Heaven knows what it would have been like if the weather wasn't great!

The medal.. Im not gonna lie, I was most disappointed about this! Ive seen race medals from previous years events and the MEDALS in other countries that look way better than what we received this year. I pretty much do races for the race bling! Not to be ungrateful or anything.. as I know this race is for charity, but it's like the UK took budget cuts on medals compared to other countries ;). I'd have rather have had a better medal and not received a t-shirt.
The bottlenecks at the start of the race weren't great and really took minutes off a headstart from the car which is disappointing!

Get some more brands/vendors involved with the race village and give people a bit more to do than just sit around waiting for the start/waiting for people to finish. They seem to go down a treat at other races I've been to.

Apart from these points, I really enjoyed the actual race and the event, if you're considering doing it, definitely do! The points I've raised don't take away from the actual race and the cause that people are running/rolling for(there's lots of wheelchair participants too)! I'm also surprised the event isn't aired on the TV, I bet it would be a great watch to see the event taking place all over the world. I'd definitely watch it if I wasn't running it!

If you wanna see a race vlog of the day, you can see that below!
