Update
6/08/2012Just a quick update to apologise for my blogging absence over the last week. I went to back home to visit my parents over Jubilee weekend and was completely busy with them as I only had a few days.
The visit was really good. I have missed my family loads since I moved with my boyfriend so it was nice to see them and spend time with them, even if it was only for a short amount of time.
I told myself that I was not going to give up my running again whilst I was there, I planned on carrying on with my schedule of running every other day. My run landed on the same day that I left to go home. I brought all my running gear with me and I was prepared to run.
I ACTUALLY did run the same day like I said I was going to. I thought I'd make some excuse but I guess at the time I had more motivation to workout. When I set off out running, i didn't exactly know where to run, its not like I could get lost, I'd lived there for 10 years so I knew my way around, I just put on my music and ran!
The run was HARD. I had planned on doing 30minutes again like my last run to make sure it wasn't just a one off run. Although I'd lived in the area for 10years, I had COMPLETELY forgotten about how hilly the area is. The hills killed me big time!
I managed 27minutes before I had to stop and walk for fear of collapsing in a sweaty mess in the street. I didn't put myself down though, 27minutes is 27minutes. Yes, 3minutes less that my furthest time running but I didn't care. What mattered most was that I got out there and did it.
I got LOADS of compliments from my family about my weight loss because they hadn't seen me in so long. I seriously hope that it encourages them to lose some weight now that they have seen me. My sister asked me to write her a plan for losing weight, which I've done based on what I have done over the past year to lose my weight.
It seems that it has encouraged her in some way, lets hope she keeps it up and maybe my mother will join in too. I love them both exactly as they are, regardless of whether they are overweight or not, but I worry about them a lot and they have both been having health issues due to their weight.
I didn't really eat too healthy when I was there and I didn't eat very much either. I went to the Cinema to watch Prometheus with my dad (which was really good btw for anyone interested) and I had popcorn and Giant buttons. He also bought us Fish and Chips from the Chip shop and I couldn't exactly refuse.
All in all, it was good spending time with my family over the weekend and I miss them all already.
I picked up my running again yesterday on Weds and Yesterday after I got back. I go on holiday to Egypt next thursday and I have decided to run as much as I can during the week as a final push to lose some weight.
Wednesdays run was crap, I felt really meh. I ran 27minutes. Yesterdays run was crap aswell, although I did push myself and did 30minutes. However, as of late, my legs have been feeling incredibly heavy as soon as I start running and its SO much effort to run. I dont know what the hell is going on with that but its making my runs suck!
If anyone knows why you get a heavy feeling in your legs when you run, let me know. I've been doing my research lately and I have pin pointed two things: either Im not drinking enough or not eating enough before my run. It could be a combination of the two. I will drink/eat more before my next run and see how that goes but if anyone has had this problem and knows how to solve it, please share!
Annnnd I said this was going to be a quick update, I seriously need to try and shorten my posts, people don't want to read a block of text about my boring life. I will shorten my blog posts from now on, I promise!
Anyway! I hope everyone from the UK had a LovelyJubbliee weekend (see what I did there?!) and everyone else had a good weekend and week aswell!
I will make sure I keep updating more often. Until my next post! x
