FIT KIT REVIEW // PINK SODA SPORT

8/17/2016

Disclosure: I received the Pink Soda Crop and Leggings for free in return for an honest review on my blog. I am not being paid to talk about or advertise their products. All opinions of the product are my own. See my policy page HERE for more detail.

I don't know about you, but nothing motivates me more to workout that getting some new lush fitness kit to workout in. There's just something about having new kit that makes me want to put it on and work up a sweat, whether that's indoors or outdoors!

When it comes to fitness wear, I have 3 vital criteria that the kit must fit into..
Affordability - I'm not about spending over £50 on a pair of leggings! I'm all about fitness wear that is affordable and doesn't cost an arm and a leg! It also means I can buy more fitness wear before running out of money! ;)

Functionality/Comfort - Though a piece of kit might be totally lust worthy and fashionable, if it's not functional and doesn't fit right,  then it's a total waste of money as I'm not likely to wear it. I want something I can move about in freely and comfortably without being restricted and preferably something that doesn't go see through when I squat!

Fashionable - I mean.. why wouldn't this be on the list? If the item is not something I'm in love with and MUST HAVE.. then I'm not gonna waste my money on it. If it doesn't look great, or it's plain, I feel a bit plain too, some funky prints, patterns and designs always make you feel better!

If fitness wear can pass all 3 of these criteria, we have a winner!

Pink Soda Sport is a sportswear line from JD Sports. Their collection is LA inspired fitness and lifestyle essentials ranging from crop tops, hoodies and leggings and aim to enable ladies to go from the gym to the street in style - something I definitely think they've managed to do with their pieces. There is a very monochrome feel to the pieces in the line with most of the clothing being white and black and others with pink and grey added.  - I've seen some of the Pink Soda pieces floating around on social media and when I got the opportunity to receive some pieces from the line, I was very excited.
The leggings are fab! They fit great, they're very stretchy and SO soft - they pass the squat test too! They've got a fairly high waist too which I like. They've got Pink Soda branding down one leg and on the waist band and for some extra detail, there is a high shine panel and a mesh sort of material down on the hem which is subtle, but lovely!

The leggings will do nicely for running in the cooler months, I've done a short run in them to test out how they hold up and they didn't fall down, which is a good start - it's just a little too warm for me to wear atm - but great for workouts inside and some yoga!
The crop - not something I would typically pick out myself as I tend to shy away from crops and pick longer tanks instead, but I actually really liked this and definitely felt more confident wearing the two together which is a bonus! It's not too sure which is great for those who aren't as comfortable - the cut is really flattering.

Can I also add that I love their logo with the geometric heart!

I wouldn't wear the crop to run in as I prefer technical material but would be great for any sort of exercise - I've done some yoga and home workouts in both items and I have no issues with either!
I've got my eye on a couple of their other pieces especially one of their hoodies and this bra top!

Overall, the two pieces I have are really great quality and all of the items are reasonably priced if you're looking to add to your fitness wardrobe(all items are between £15 and £32 and have some pieces on sale atm!)
