Monthly Stats // September // A Rough Month

9/02/2016

Before I start this post.. I just want to say.. Bare with me on the blog here. I won't go into too much detail but my Dad has been very unwell and things have been up in the air recently. Exercise has been the only thing that has been keeping me from having a proper meltdown and apart from a couple of social media posts, I've not been in the right frame of mind to write anything.

Whilst we're not out of the dark yet, things have improved enough for me to try and get some content for the blog and fingers crossed things start looking up - please send good vibes/positive thoughts this way!
So after that short introduction, I'll just get straight into it and fill you in on this months stats. As always, I've done my weigh in, measurements, progress pictures and plan for this month - progress wise, I've not made much given everything that has been going on and to be honest, I don't care much at the moment as I've had other things to think about.. Anyway!

WEIGH IN
And just like a Yo-Yo.. I'm back down again, almost 1 lb. I actually received  a new pair of scales from Beets BLU* which is a Bluetooth pair of scales - and whilst I now don't let the number on the scale definite me anymore, it has been really interesting to be able to see how much my weight fluctuates when I weigh in. There's an app that collects all my weigh in data including weight, BMI(I'm overweight by BMI standards.. STFU..), water weight and muscle mass - the last two stats are gathered through the metal plates on the scales that send an electric pulse through your body.

I dont know if those stats are accurate or not and I haven't been paying too much attention to them - but like I said, it's been interesting to see how much my body weight fluctuates and I seem hover between 162 and 164 - never any higher or lower.

I have all the data on the app too so I can keep looking back at the stats when/if I need the information.

Last Months Weight: 163.4 lbs
This Months Weight: 162.5 lbs
Difference in Weight: 0.9 lbs
Total lbs lost since my highest weight: 95.7 lbs

PROGRESS PICTURES & MEASUREMENTS
No changes in measurements and no real differences in between the pictures - though I have definitely noticed that I'm getting some definition in my back & shoulders - most likely due to all the swimming that I've been doing recently, so I'm quite happy with that! Though you can't really see it on these pictures cause of the sports bra that I'm wearing.

Also..can I just say that my shorts tan is shocking! xD

THE PLAN
Last Months Plans:
- Learn to love myself again - flaws and all -  Actually, I'd say I did pretty well with this one. I've been pretty body positive over the last month and haven't really thought negatively about my body in any way.

Over the last 2 weeks, I've been consistently running every day(bar one day where I was mega busy). I've averaged at least 4 miles everyday to complete a Running Heroes challenge of completing 55 miles over 2 weeks. I'm actually so proud of myself! I've come to appreciate how far I've come in my weight loss journey and how much my body is capable of.

Don't get me wrong, averaging 4 miles everyday has not been easy for me, but I've stayed positive throughout and I've just 3 days left to complete the challenge!

This Months Plan:
Kettlebells - I know I've set a goal of this before and it's not materialized but I really want to try and do some kettlebell workouts this month to see if a shakeup in my routine might help with weight loss - or at least allow me to gain a bit of muscle.

I just have to get on with it. It's the first step to actually doing it that's the hardest and doing it makes me nervous as I know the DOMS is usually terrible! xD

Once I've gotten this running challenge out of the way, I'm definitely gonna give it a go again!

* Disclaimer: I received the Beets BLU Scales for free. As always, my opinion is my own and is not affected by items gifted to me.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I will say a prayer from him. That's a pretty cool scale that does all those stats.
