Sum It Up.. Sunday

10/12/2014

Good Evening/Morning, everyone! I hope you've had a great weekend.

It feels like the weekend has gone so quickly. It's almost time for another week of work, it's depressing. On the upside, I had a lovely evening talking to some gorgeous #hbloggers this evening for a twitter chat and it totally livened up my night.

I suppose I should start talking about what you came here for right?

So, how was this week?

Exercise
5 x Running - I actually hadn't planned on doing 5 runs this week. I also didn't plan on running all of those runs in a row.

I ran everyday from Weds-Sun - I was supposed to take today off as a rest day to let my legs recover, but I got up a little late and wouldn't have had time to take the dog out for a 30 min walk, so I ran her instead.

I discussed this on Instagram the other day, but I definitely commend people that are able to run everyday and have massive running streaks. I just can't do it. My legs feel like lead and I don't enjoy my runs if I don't have a break. Others on the other hand, seem to have no problem with running day after day, Phillips mum is one of them. She runs EVERY day without fail for 5-6 miles every time, albeit, very slowly, but she still does it.

It would KILL me to go that distance everyday. I think it's just not for everyone and that's fine with me.

6 x PiYo Workouts - So, I've just finished my second week of PiYo and It's great. I'm definitely finding that I'm gaining more strenth from these workouts.

Prior to starting the PiYo workouts, I couldn't do a single push up on my toes and I could hardly do any on my knees either, for that matter. After just 2 weeks of the program, I tried to do my first push up on my toes, just to see where I was at.. and I managed TWO.

That may not seem massive to some, but it is to me and I'm proud of my two full push ups. As long as I took a little break in between, I was able to consistently do at least two full push ups throughout the whole workout.

I'm excited to see where PiYo will take me.

Food
Food hasn't been any worse, nor better than last week. Although, snacking is more out of hand on the weekend and I think that's purely because I get bored, or I'm not doing enough and I just eat for the sake of eating which is a really bad habit.

I need to get back to being mindful of what I eat and focusing on what my body wants rather than listening to what my head wants.

Plan For Next Week
Continue my PiYo workouts, I'm doing well with them and I stick to the workout schedule so nothing needs to change there.

In terms of running, I really need to make sure that I take a break in between my runs and to make sure I stretch! I usually stretch after my runs but If I'm short for time, I cut my stretching short.

Most Important - Be more mindful of what I eat and listen to my body. I know exactly what my body wants and needs but I've just gotten lazy at listening to the signals. I need to focus on this.

I wrote a blog post a while back on How to Eat Consciously which you can check out HERE. I'll definitely be going back and using my own advice for this week.

Lets see if I can get back on track this week. I'll be doing my best!

Question: What is one tip that you would give for being mindful of your eating?

Sum It Up.. Sunday

10/05/2014

Completely missed the ball on the last Sum It Up.. Sunday post. It slipped my mind to post and by the time I realized, it was too late.

I've made myself a calendar with a blog schedule and hopefully I will stick to it and have a regular posting schedule on the blog.

Exercise
4 x Running - As I planned, I did 4 runs this week, 3 of them were under 2 miles each but I also got in a long run this week. I thought it would suck as I've not run more than 2 miles in quite a while but actually, it was pretty good.

I managed 5.6 miles in just over an hour. So a little slow for my liking but it will only get better with time. I have a race on New Years Eve, a 10k, which has a time cap and I'd like to be able to do the race in around 55 minutes. It means that I need to shave about 10 minutes off my current time, but I think its more than doable.

6 x Piyo Workouts - A friend had the PiYo DVDs but wasn't using them - so I've taken them for a test drive. So far they're great and they allow me to get in some Yoga at the same time. PiYo is a combination of Pilates and Yoga if anyone didn't know. I do 6 workouts per week with one rest day - Workouts are short and perfect to do in the morning before I go to work.

I've been walking as well this week, most days during the week in the mornings if I haven't run, at lunch and I've also fit in some evening walks too.

All in all, its been a good week for workouts.

Food
Food has been good this week. I've been sticking to my schedules, I've been getting up earlier and making sure that I fit in a good breakfast in the morning and I've been feeling much better for it. I haven't been as hungry on the lead up to lunch either so it's lead to less snacking.

Lunches and Dinners were good this week too. Lots of veggies and high in protein to help keep me fuller for longer. It's been a good week!

Plan For Next Week
My scheduling and calendars that I made last week have been a MASSIVE help. I've been noting down all my exercise, my food has been better(I am tracking again on MFP) and I've actually had more blog posts and been a lot more organised. It's great!

I'll be continuing with the scheduling for next week as it seems to be doing me some good.

On top of the scheduling, I want to make sure that I get in another 4 runs this week with one longer run and I want to keep on track with my PiYo Workouts.

I think that will keep me covered for this coming week :)

Sum It Up.. Sunday

9/28/2014

Completely missed the ball on the last Sum It Up.. Sunday post. It slipped my mind to post and by the time I realized, it was too late.

I've made myself a calendar with a blog schedule and hopefully I will stick to it and have a regular posting schedule on the blog.

Exercise
Running x 4 - All fairly short runs this week. I'm not running daily anymore now that Phillips mum is back. My runs were 2 miles or shorter - I need to start upping my mileage slightly.

I got slightly lazy this week, I've done no other workouts other than the 4 runs this week. I haven't walked as much this week either. The brilliant thing about the GCC was that there was something that I was pushing for.. A goal to get more steps for the team. Now that it's gone, I've been struggling to find a reason why I want to go out for a walk.

I've just not been motivated to do any exercise and that mentality needs to be broken. I'll touch more on it in my plans.

Food
Breakfast has been SO weak. Like with my exercise, I've not been that motivated this week. I've been getting up later and I end up running late and not having a proper breakfast. I KNOW that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it's silly that I haven't been taking the time to have a proper meal. I will improve on this next week.

All other meals have been fine, I've made good choices for lunches and dinners. I've been having soup for lunch this week which was a change, I haven't had soup in ages! I've been having lots of veggies at dinner with chicken/fish and rice/sweet potato.

I've been making better snacking choices and I'm going to be writing a post on healthy snacks that I've been loving lately so that will be coming up soon.

So food has been OK, there's room for improvement.

Plan For Next Week
I've been on a spreadsheet/calendar making frenzy this weekend. I've been getting myself organised and will be getting myself into a proper routine. I plan on getting up on my first alarm, as I have a tendency to turn off my alarms and rest/snooze for a bit longer.

I'll be doing a workout in the morning and/or running. I plan to run at least 4 times a week and try to get in a long run each week.I also want to get in more yoga practice too.

I'm going to document everything in the calendars/spreadsheets that I've made. I hope that it will keep me on track and I'll be using MFP again to track my food.

Lets see how it goes! Have a great week! Until next time

Sum It Up.. Sunday

9/14/2014

It's been a while since I did one of these posts but I thought I'd bring them back in so I could have some sort of way to keep track on what I've done during the week and what is upcoming for the next week.

Exercise
Running x 6 - I've run everyday except Monday this week. These are only short distances of 2 miles or less. Phillips Mother is away on Holiday for 2 weeks and I've been in charge of the animals and the house during that time. I'd usually take Risky out for a 30 min walk in the mornings but to save on time.. I've just been taking her for a run on that same route instead - it takes me half the time or less.

Piyo x 3 - Supposed to be doing 6 of these workouts a week but I've been so busy with everything else that I just lost track of time. The PiYo workouts are awesome though and I'm enjoying them - it also means that I'm getting in my Yoga when I do them too so that's a bonus!

Walking - ALOT - since the GCC has finished, I've still managed to keep to most of my walks, I'm still walking at lunch with colleagues and after work with the dog. I've been walking alot this weekend too. Went to Cambridge to get some more shoes and then today I was spectating at the Grunty Fen Half Marathon that Phillip was running and there was alot of walking involved between the car, the start and the finish.

Food
I'm not going to sit here and lie to people and say that everything was great. If you have read my blog for a while, you know that if something isn't going right, it stays real here on the blog.

Food has not been great this week. I seemed to have lost my sense for mindful eating and just seem to have eaten more than I should have. I've been feeling SO hungry this week, more than usual.. and instead of ignoring the feeling, I've just caved into them instead.

So yeah... Not good.

Plan For Next Week
So, Whats my plan for next week? I'll be sticking to running everyday for next week. There's so much to do around the house in the mornings that its not an option unless I get up even earlier and I'm not much of a morning person.

I'll be getting back to doing my PiYo workouts x 6 during the week - I may take 2 days rest and double up a day instead to see how that works out. Either way, I'll be doing the 6 workouts for this week.

I need to get back to being mindful of what I eat this week and that is where all my focus is going. Just because I feel hungry, doesn't mean I actually AM hungry and probably just need something to drink(water!). Less snacking and more healthy nutritious meals that will keep me fuller for longer.

With all that being said, I hope that next week is better than this week. We shall see.

Speak to you tomorrow for weigh in. I'm not hopeful in the slightest.

Summary Sunday

4/06/2014

Workouts this week:

Rather than list everything that I might have done this week. I'll just sum it up quickly. I did lots of walking during the first half of the week. I was still on holiday in Mexico until Wednesday. Our hotel was HUGE which meant lots of walking between rooms, restaurants and the beach.

I've done plenty of swimming during the beginning of the week too. We did an excursion on Tuesday to swim with turtles which was amazing!

Since I've been back, I've also been running. So, I've been keeping active all the time.

Food this week:

Food has been good. I've been restricting foods to stay healthier. I have still allowed some treats. I could not help some of the choices, we are not able to pick the foods we want to eat on the plane so I had to eat what was offered. Since being back, I haven't had a major appetite and what I have been eating has been healthy, no unhealthy snacks.

Goals last week:

~~1) Sensible Eating and Drinking on Holiday~~
I think this has been good. I haven't weighed myself yet as they advise to at least wait a week before weighing in due to water weight and settling back into a normal routine.

I was good with my food whilst on holiday. I had a usual breakfast of cereal or porridge and a plate of fruit. For lunches and dinners I always had at least half a plate of veggies and then chose what ever I wanted in a small portion.

I also allowed myself to have dessert if I wanted it but restricted myself to 1-2 of the small cakes rather than having loads. There was the opportunity to try everything I would want during the time I was there so there was no point having it all in one day.

I had plenty of water whilst I was on holiday, I did have a few alcoholic drinks during the first week, but nothing during the second week due to surgery.

So all in all, I think I've done pretty well.

Goal this week:

1) Keep on track with healthy eating and water intake.
I want to carry on eating and drinking well this week.. or at least up until surgery day (THURSDAY!). Afterwards, I probably wont have much of an appetite so I won't worry too much.

Other than this, I just want to keep myself busy and keep myself from stressing too much. I imagine at some point, the nerves will kick in for surgery, so I want to keep myself busy up until surgery so I don't have much time to think about it.

I'll stick another post up earlier this week with a little recap of the sorts of things I've been up to over the last 2 weeks in Mexico.. It'll be pretty pic heavy! :)

Until then!

Question: Have anything exciting that you've been up to in the last 2 weeks whilst I've been away?

Summary Sunday

3/16/2014

Workouts this week:

Wednesday - 3.07 mile run

Saturday - - 5.12 mile run
Sunday - 5.55 mile run

3 runs this week, should have been 4 but I didn't get up on time on Thursday so I missed my run. I've also been doing some Yoga poses as part of an Instagram challenge, but nothing really worth noting properly here.

Food this week:

Not bad. I've actually been having breakfast this week, which is a big change from just a small yogurt that I've been fitting in and its kept me fuller for longer in the mornings, which was already expected.

I've been having some big salads during the week to fill me up and they have been yummy, but if I'm gonna do them again, I need to change up the topping on the salads as it got boring after a few days.

I re-attempted the Avocado eating with my salads, it has been going well and I'm enjoying it when I also have other things included in the salad and a dressing too but I'm wondering, can you have too much Avocado in one week? as I know they're high in fat (healthy fat, but still fat). I only had half of one per day.. but I'm interested.

Goals last week:

~~1) Focus on making sure I get a good breakfast~~
~~2) Increase Water Intake~~

Yep and Yep.

As I mentioned earlier in this post, I've been having a proper breakfasts this week and its been great. I've felt fuller, not had to snack as much and generally had more energy in the mornings.

Water was on point this week. Or I should say Green Tea as that's what I was mostly drinking, the office has AC on now that its coming into spring time and that means its time for me to freeze.. so I need to keep warm. hah.

I won't need to freeze in the office much longer though as I only have tomorrow left in work before I am off on Holiday. We fly to Mexico on Wednesday, I packed earlier today so its just some final checks of the suitcase tomorrow to make sure I'm not forgetting anything.

I'm only just getting excited. I only get excited for holidays in the final few days leading up to it rather than being excited in the weeks leading up.

Goal this week:

1) Sensible Eating and Drinking on Holiday
I ask nothing else of myself this week. I want to keep my weight under control whilst I'm on holiday. I have a plan all set in my head of what I intend to do for food whilst I'm on holiday and I hope to stick to it to keep me on track.

My food will be similar to what I eat here at home. A healthy breakfast of some sort, staying away from the pastries. I'll have a salad of some sort for lunch or maybe a sandwich and for dinner, I'll make sure to get in some protein like chicken with lots of veggies.

I'm sure everything will be fine as long as I keep my mind on track. I will be allowing some treats on holiday too as I don't agree with restriction, but I'll be sensible about it.

That's it! Sound simple right? We'll see.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend.

Until Next Time!

Summary Sunday

3/09/2014

Workouts this week:

Monday- Yoga Practice
Tuesday - Yoga Practice

Wednesday - 2.99 mile run and Yoga Practice

Thursday - 3.26 mile run

Saturday - - 4.66 mile run
Sunday - 5.17 mile run and Yoga Practice

4 runs this week which I'm happy about. My Sunday run was split up into two runs of 3 miles and just over 2 - the temp really hiked up this weekend and was very warm. It's been a long time since I've run in warm temps so it was more difficult than I thought so I came back home after 2 miles and decided to go out later after the temps dropped.

I've also been getting in my Yoga practice this week too which is great. The challenge I've been participating in on Instagram is fun and it's been encouraging me to get in my practice.

Food this week:

Food has been slacking this week. My breakfasts haven't improved this week, most of the week I still grabbed a yoghurt for breakfast instead of having a proper breakfast. My lunches and dinners were the best part of my week for food and they've been great with lots of veggies includes.

I've been snacking a lot this week, for the most part it was healthy, but some not-so-healthy snacks also appeared this week in the form of chocolate and cake. I think most of my snacking issue has come from that womanly time of the month and should ease up. It always happens.

Goal last week:

1) Stay on Track
I tried with this, but wasn't as on track as I would've liked. My water and green tea wasn't as good as last week. Hot chocolate slipped back into the routine, it's not needed, it's just something I ended up having.

Some rather unhealthy snacks propped up this week, they could have been substituted for a piece of fruit or something else.

Goal this week:

1) Focus on making sure I get a good breakfast
I want to make sure that I'm up earlier this week so I definitely have time to make my breakfast in the morning before going to work.

2) Increase Water Intake
I have been doing OK with my water, but more and more frequently I'm told that water will really help with recovery from my surgery so it's SO important that I make sure everything is good before and after surgery.

So that's it for this week! I need to up the ante on drinking more water and eating healthier leading up to my surgery.

I hope everyone has had a great weekend and enjoyed the warmer weather (at least those in the UK!)

Until Next Time!

Summary Sunday

3/02/2014

Workouts this week:

Monday- DYY: Day 24
Tuesday - DYY: Day 25

Wednesday - DYY: Day 26 and 5.53 mile run

Thursday - DYY: Day 27
Friday - DYY: Day 28 and 3.2 mile run

Saturday - - DYY: Day 29 and 6.43 mile run
Sunday - DYY: Day 30 and 3.18 mile run

30 Day Yoga Challenge complete, never missed a day! Proud of myself and it's definitely put a love for Yoga out there. My runs were swapped around slightly this week compared to my usual routine but still completed 4 runs this week which I'm happy about.

I'll be continuing my runs as normal up until the holiday and I'm doing a Yoga Instagram challenge and will also be doing the Do You Yoga 10 Day Abs to keep me occupied.

Food this week:

Food hasn't been too bad this week. I've enjoyed my lunches this week. I had bagels, which I've not had in a really long time and they were filling. I've been having loads of veggies this week along with chicken and wholemeal rice. Breakfasts have been slacking lately as I've been getting up later (with no real excuse) and don't make my breakfast before I leave for work, so I've just grabbed a yoghurt most of this week.

Goals last week:

~~1) Limit drinks to Green Tea and Water.~~

Nailed it! Apart from a small Costa that I had at the weekend (as its something me and Phillip do every weekend), I've just stuck to drinking Green tea and Water. It's been good. The water and green tea has helped to stop me feeling hungry most of the time and it's kept me hydrated so positives all round for this one.

Goal this week:

I don't want to force a goal if I can't think of one. The only thing that comes to mind is:

1) Stay on Track
I want to continue with keeping active like I have done this week. Continue with the water and green tea intake rather than drinking other drinks and keep my snacks healthy, fruits and healthy snacks like my Nakd bars are just fine.

If all goes well, hopefully the scales will show a nice lower number for me tomorrow. Fingers Crossed.

Until Next Time!

Summary Sunday

2/23/2014

Workouts this week:

Monday- DYY: Day 17
Tuesday - DYY: Day 18

Wednesday - DYY: Day 19

Thursday - DYY: Day 20 and 2.97 mile run
Friday - DYY: Day 21

Saturday - - DYY: Day 22 and 5.36 mile run
Sunday - DYY: Day 23 and 5.67 mile run

3 runs and full week of Yoga. Not too shabby. I was supposed to be doing 4 runs this week, but if you've been reading this week, I had a trip to A&E this week with Phillip as he broke his metacarpal, I ended up not getting to sleep until around 5 am and had 3 hours to get some sleep before work so I ended up not running on Weds.

Yoga has been fab. Enjoying it loads. Shame its almost at the end of it. I have 7 days left for the Do You Yoga Challenge after that I'll be doing the 10 Day Yoga for Abs, by then I'll almost be ready for going on Holiday.

Food this week:

Food was OK this week. Had some nice chicken meals this week that we've made with Wholemeal Rice. I had some Rye Bread that was recommended for lunch with Ham and Salad which was a change. So overall, I think I've done pretty well for food. Snacking could have been a little better but I'm working on it.

Goals last week:

1) Get in 1-2 Kettlebell workouts this week.
Nope - I literally have been stuck for time, the Invalid (Phillip) has not been able to do anything for himself this week with his hand, so its been up to me to do everything. That and I've been dog sitting this weekend. No time to myself this week, no extra time to fit in a Kettlebell workout.

Goal this week:

1) Limit drinks to Green Tea and Water.
I've been having hot chocolates and normal tea with milk during the week. I want to stop having them this week and only have green tea if I want a hot drink or water if I want a cold drink and nothing else. It's pretty obvious the benefits from water and green tea and I don't need to be having add calories on drinks.

I've no further goals to set this week. If I set myself a workout goal, I probably won't meet it. Having to do most of the things around the house is taking up a lot of my time. I've hardly gotten through any blog reading this week, hopefully I get some free time to catch up!

Until Next Time!

Thursday - DYY: Day 13
Friday - DYY: Day 14 and 3.2 mile run

Saturday - - DYY: Day 15 and 4.11 mile run
Sunday - DYY: Day 16 and 6.21 mile run

Full week of workouts. Still enjoying my daily Yoga. I've been figuring out what I'm gonna do when the month is up but I've found a yoga for Abs also by Erin Motz so I'm gonna do that and then find a couple of videos to cycle through during the week.

Had some bad stomach ache at the beginning of the week. I ended up not running on Weds and Thurs but decided to make up at least one of the runs on Friday. Got in my usual weekend runs too, I'm now running on my own or with Phillip instead of his mum so that I can run at my pace rather than a slower pace.

Food this week:

Food has been OK this week actually. I've been doing Nourish week as part of the MNBChallenge as you may have already noticed from couple of my posts this week. Its been a challenge but I'm glad I stuck with it and experienced some new thing I would have never really added otherwise.

I hope my weigh in tomorrow is nice to me, but we will see.

Goals last week:

~~1) Try my best with the Nourish part of MNBChallenge.~~
I think I did pretty well with the MNBChallenge this week. I thought I'd fail on some of the days but perseverded and tried my best. I had a meatless day, made a smoothie and went partially raw on Friday (by partially, I mean, I ate raw for Breakfast, Lunch and Snacks)

Goal this week:

1) Get in 1-2 Kettlebell workouts this week.
I've kinda neglected my Kettlebells for a while, I want to make sure I get in 1-2 workouts with them this week, they don't have to be long - maybe 20 minutes or so, but its something!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I feel like I've been non-stop all weekend. We've had so much to do and we've been preparing everything for the holiday and deciding on what we have and what we still need to get.

It's 4 weeks away.. what can I say.. we're early starters. hah!

Until Next Time!

Tuesday - DYY: Day 4

Wednesday - DYY: Day 5 and 3 mile run

Thursday - DYY: Day 6 - MNB Leg Workout
Friday - DYY: Day 7

Saturday - - DYY: Day 8 and 4.16 mile run
Sunday - DYY: Day 9 and 6.13 mile run

Keeping active all week! Yeeeeaah Boyy. I'm still committed to my Yoga and I've been doing it everyday without fail. I'm REALLY enjoying the yoga at the moment and funnily enough I have Phillip trying to do the poses too which is hilarious.

I've also run 3 times this week, not as many miles as I would have done.. but still something none the less so I'm pretty happy with my workouts this week!

Food this week:

Food hasn't been that bad this week. Snacking has been reduced. I haven't been that bad and the snacks that I have been eating have been fairly healthy. I'm addicted to the Ryvita Minis and I've been having Danio Yoghurts.

As I mentioned earlier this week, I changed up my vows and have allowed myself a little leeway on sweet treats because I was on the verge of a binge due to cutting them out completely. I've only been having 1 healthy breakfast bar each day and it seems to be working OK.

Goals last week:

~~1) Find a Healthy Recipe and Make it.~~
Yeah. I made some Banana Muffins. They were fairly healthy, but I do think I could have substituted some of the ingredients for even healthier ingredients.. I just don't know what to sub in. I'm going to experiment with it this week and when I come up with a good recipe, I'll be able to share it with you all.

Goals this week:

1) Try my best with the Nourish part of MNBChallenge.
Theres some parts of the MNB Challenge for the Nourish week that I might not be too good at. Monday is to go meatless and on Friday we go Raw!

I've never done EITHER of them so it will be quite a challenge for me and I want to try my best with it.

That's my only goal. I think I'm doing well with food and exercise this week, i'd just like to focus on the challenges that I'm doing at the moment, I'm having fun with them.

I'll sum up the MNB Challenge for Nourish along with my weigh in for tomorrow. With fingers crossed that I have an OK weigh in.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Until Next Time!

Summary Sunday

2/02/2014

Workouts this week:

Tuesday - Yoga

Wednesday - 3.01 miles

Thursday - Tone It Up - Kettlebell Workout

Saturday - - Do You Yoga - Day 1 and walking
Sunday - Do You Yoga - Day 2 and 3.09 miles

Happy with this weeks workouts. 3 x Yoga, a Kettlebell Workout and 2 runs. At the moment, with the weather being so unpredictable or just totally stonkin' wet.. I've had to stick to road running and particularly running the same route during the week.

It's starting to get boring and on Thursday, I got dressed to run and really didn't want to go. Instead of NOT exercising at all, I did a Kettlebell workout so I'm proud of myself for staying active!

Food this week:

Snacks.. Snacks.. Snacks.. I said at the end of last week that I'd felt like a bottomless pit. Although not near as bad as last week, I've still be snacking quite a lot as my body is telling me I'm hungry all the time, even when I chugging my water.

Instead of eating filling foods, however, I'm going for the easiest and quickest snacks and therefore end up wanting more later on.

Goals last week:

~~1) Get myself into a routine.~~

I'd say I've done pretty well with my routine this week. I've been getting up earlier and managing to fit a lot more in, in the morning so its all good. I've fit in a good amount of workouts this week. I just need to keep it up rather than slacking again.

2) Be in control of my eating.
No, I didn't do it this week. Like I mentioned above, my snacking was scaled back slightly, but I didn't eat healthier and filling foods, I just ate quick snacks that made me feel hungry again after 30 mins or so..

Goals this week:

1) Find a Healthy Recipe and Make it.
As simple as it sounds, I want to find a recipe that is healthy, or maybe find a recipe and turn it into a healthy recipe. I'm thinking of looking into snack recipes that I can make so that I turn to those rather than the unhealthy snacks.

Unfortunately, I can't think of any other goals.. and they seem to just be the same ones that I always set myself. I need to be sticking to the goals that I have.

I hope everyone has had a great weekend. Unfortunately, I had to work this weekend but I was done by Saturday evening, so it wasn't all bad.

I'm not looking forward to my weigh in this week, but I've been good with food this weekend, so I'm hoping I didn't do too much damage. We'll see.

I also have another Surgery post going up this Thursday as usual and it'll be going into info about my consultations that I've had.. I'm not sure how long they'll be so it might have to be split up into a few parts.

Until Next Time!

Questions: Did you get up to anything exciting this weekend?

exercise

Summary Sunday

1/26/2014

Workouts this week:

Wednesday - 3.04 miles

Thursday - 3.08 miles

Saturday - 5.65miles

Sunday - 5.47 miles

4 runs this week which I'm pretty happy about but didnt fit in anything else like yoga or kettlebells.. so not the workouts I wanted.

Food this week:

This week has been quite a fail food wise.

I've been having a small yoghurt for breakfas rather than usual porridge for work as I end up running out of time, don't know how considering I haven't been working out every morning.. so I need to get this in check. Lunches and Dinners have actually been OK.

This week, Ive felt as though Ive been a bottomless pit and have just felt hungry all the time so Im not sure what is going on there. Hopefully, I wont have the same issue this week. Fingers Crossed!

Goals last week:

1) Fit in some Yoga this week.

Nope, didnt do it this week. Partly due to me not getting myself into a routine, therefore Im getting up later and not fitting in a workout.

2) ~~Finish writing up my blog posts regarding skin removal surgery and consultations~~.

I actually managed to hit a goal! I wrote and published my loose skin post last week and my next surgery posts are scheduled for the next couple of weeks, I've got them scheduled to be posted every Thursday, So I think thats the day I'll continue to post them on.

Goals this week:

1) Get myself into a routine.

I want to try and get myself into a routine of getting up early and fitting in my workouts in the morning and having time for breakfast before work. Its just me being alittle lazy, no other excuses.

2) Be in control of my eating.

Like I mentioned, I've felt like a bottomless pit this week and I've let it control what I've eaten. I need to get back my control of food and stop eating when Its not needed.

Thats it for this week. This coming week will be all about getting in control of both my eating and my exercise. It's very much needed.

I hope everyone has had a great week and weekend.

Until Next Time!
